I simplified my site. I got rid of the extra pages like mural and portrait. Now there is just one extra Newer Paintings page. betweenthetrees.com/art I think I'll continue to keep the older work in the history section, but nothing new there.

So a friend was thinking about starting an open source creative project. I guess it would start with brainstorming ideas about what the project could be. Creative, inventive visionary. A project of some sort with input from all over the world. That's the goal to have input from everywhere. So in open source the project would not necessarily belong to anyone. It should continually evolve and expand becoming greater. Maybe it would be an online movie of sorts. But not really a moving movie. Creating a utopian idea. But I guess the parameters are it has to be something amazing, something positive, uplifting, something that can contribute to a positive move forward in the existence of humanity. Sort of an invention of thought. But what could it be? I think I like a Zen connection to it. Less is more. Nothing to nothing more nothing everything is not there, more nothingness and something is found.
Maybe it would result in nothing, but the thought of the process is interesting.

I saw ex-Coach of Washington Redskins Joe Gibbs yesterday evening walking on 6th Avenue. He was walking with people that looked like they were contemplating where to use his crazy big money.
Here is a quick painting I did of my friend Goran's Dog. The painting is from a photo of the Great Dane Petee standing on a frisbee.

I know I mentioned it before, but the podcasts from speaking of faith are very good.

Well here is an image idea for a mural project I hope to get. The wall is 50' wide.

Maybe if we question how fast the year goes by at a ridiculously early point, then it will last longer. Here is an 18x24" painting I "painted" for what I think is a student film. The woman is playing the role of a drunk horny mom embarrassing her daughter. I only had two days to work on it so it is what it is. That is from a photo I took of the mom, I had to "invent" three points in the painting. I picked up on the odd long torso I painted at the start, but from the centuries of nudes in this style, I felt ok leaving the mistake.
It just started snowing at 1 am, but I think it's still too warm for much to happen. A couple that lives in my building thinks their car was stolen today, hopefully it was just towed. Being "Newark" police, hearing a response as basically uuuuhh yeah it was stolen and then not showing up = you get the service you employ. So the couple will have to search towing companies to find out for a maybe.
